Every Journey Begins With Small Steps

Every year I am enthralled to see the little ones curiously starting the preschool years.  Children are natural learners but they have to cope up with certain anxieties also, such as ‘separation from home’, ‘interacting with peers’ and ‘experiencing new communication in a novel environment’. This happens with the new entrants. KITE School has devised the methodology that helps kids to deal with these hindrances. This year the transition has been particularly smooth. This is reassuring as well as inspiring! Continuing students are already initiated into the ‘learning system’ anyway. Hence they have the advantage of being the familiar group.
You’ll find many new ideas being implemented this year. At KITE School we continuously strive to engage new and better ways to accelerate the learning process. Extra-curricular activities will soon begin. We have even better inventory of audio-visual material to make the learning more effective and enjoyable. We are continuing with Field trips for the ‘hands on’ experience and the Yoga time for Jr. & Sr. KG which will have carefully chosen exercises especially for the small ones.
Your little ones are taking baby steps towards a meaningful journey of life. But small steps do not belittle the journey. Get involved. Enjoy this wonderful time. This is as important for your child as is memorable for you!

KITE School Field Trip to Fruit Market

First, let me apologise for not posting for a while. But we assure you that now you'll see this page updated regularly.

KITE School organised a field trip to fruit market for Playgroup and Nursery children. It was a great experience to see the excitement on the faces of the little kids as they answered questions of the teacher. The teachers asked about the name, shape and colour etc. of different fruits. They also explained the comparison of big and small. Children had an exciting interactive session that was first for the tiny-tots.

Enjoy the pictures!

KITE School's field trips

In the last week of July, 2009, it wasn't raining much, it was cloudy though. And we were just waiting for such a spell for two-three days!
We took our Junior and Senior KG kids to Chena Creek in our TATA Winger school bus on two consequitive days. The kids already had their EVE session on "How does it rain" and related topics, such as, water cycle, water-logging and water transport etc. earlier in July itself. All the children were so happy and excited.

It was real fun with learning. Some of them 'discovered' few things about nature on their own... a very funny tree, a weird insect and a mirror like drop on a leaf! They were exploring the surrounding freely. Of course, teachers, Principal Madam, maid and other staff were keeping a watchful eye on every child. Everyone accompanying the kids was instructed well about the dos and donts, lists, field trip cautions and supplies.

It was a learning experience for us also. We learnt the way children perceive complex things in simple ways. They also interpret in in their own ways. Educators should find the correlation and apply it in their explanation of concepts.

At KITE School, we have decided to have field trips as often as we can.

Can you suggest a new location which is not very far from our school and yet can be an exciting field trip point?
